Guilderland sports programs were affected by budget cuts over the last couple of years. As a result we have created a not for profit group, Friends of Guilderland Athletics. The sole purpose of this organization will be to work with the sports booster clubs to raise money to save the sports programs for our children.

For the 2013 - 2014 school year half of the budget has been reinstated and the community will need to raise the other half of the required money to fund the school programs.

Rodino Family

Guilderland High School Freshman Sports

The Rodino Family has been fighting Huntington's Disease. This debilitating terminal disease, took the life of their 8 year old daughter, Rachel in 2010. Rick Rodino, husband and father of the family is now in the later stages of the disease and requires 24 hour care from Lori, his wife. Recently their 20 year old son, Anthony and their 19 year old daughter, Gianna have both been diagnosed with the disease.  Friends and neighbors are trying to help ease their financial struggles and ensure they can stay in the comfort of their own home during this difficult time.

The Guilderland School Board approved maintaining fifty percent funding for Freshman sports (4th Level Sports)  for the 2013-14 school year.  Friends of Guilderland Athletics (FOGA), has been organized to assist in securing the other half of the money necessary for these teams to exist.  The teams that will require community funding are Football, Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys Basketball, Baseball, and Softball.

This eventr is being distributed by the Guilderland Central School District as a community service to students and parents for informational purposes only.
This program is not affiliated with nor endorsed in any way by the Guilderland Central School District.

If you are out of town or unable to participate in the fundraiser plase be aware you can still make a direct money donation at http://www.friendsofguilderlandathletics.org. It is via Paypal/Credi Card and totally secure.
